SHABOOTY INTERVIEW SERIES: MAZ JOBRANI [EXCLUSIVE VIDEO]
Here’s how you know Maz Jobrani’s star is rising. Not because he’s getting his own CBS sitcom, or because you heard him on the Joe Rogan Podcast, or seen him on the Axis of Evil Comedy Tour, or Gabriel Iglesias’ Stand-Up Revolution, or the infamous Shabooty Interview Series, but because he now has designated a new and prestigious position in his organization, he has appointed me his official “saffron-carrier.” Sort of like a weed-carrier, but for Persian people that don’t smoke weed. I don’t even know if Maz smokes weed or not, (I’ll ask him in the future), but after this interview I do know Maz’ thoughts on: Ahmadinejad, The Iron Sheik, Joe Rogan, and a bunch of Persian People Hobbies Cliches.
Also, I finally saw Maz’ stand-up comedy live, and he killed it! His crowd work is stellar (how he remembers people’s names in the crowd an hour into the show in the form of a comedic call-back is amazing). I saw the show with my Dad and he had a shit-eating saffron-eating grin on his face the whole time! So without further to-do, here’s the Shabooty Interview of MAZ JOBRANI!
