I agree… that movie was JARRING. It wasn’t a picture of a rose, it was a motion picture about how life can leave you torn and tattered. It’s a movie about managing life, your sanity, your kids, your wife, and granddad from shitting his pants.
I once had a job interview at company co. owned by Paramount Pictures and when asked what my favorite movie was, I was honest, and said Requiem For A Dream, an admittedly F*CKED UP movie. This movie is just as f*cked up, and yet, I wouldn’t hesitate in saying it too, is my fav. movie [of 2011]. In two words, DAMN, GINA!!!
