It’s safe to say, Artie is getting his life together, and getting rid of the lavish NJ shore house is a step in the right direction. It probably caused him more agitation than anything. It’s not fun, and it’s not funny.

Just as an aside: Does Artie selling his shore house signal that he will no longer do the crazy stand-up schedule he maintained in his past? Will he return with Howard Stern and crew at Howard’s next contractual home? Stay tuned!

DARREN ARONOFSKY TO DIRECT MAX BARRY’S MACHINE MAN!

Wow, so I have alerts when I get a yahoo email (even though I never actually check that account, I will still read the subject lines), and I had to *rush to check my email*. I had to look twice because I think I just read my favorite director is directing my favorite author‘s novel to movie adaption!… FAVORITES OF ALL TIME!!! This is crazy news (in a good way), crazy good news.

As soon as I hit publish on this post, I am going to rush and email Max and congratulate him. This is sort of surreal for me as a fan, but let me give myself a little bit of credit (than just a mere fanboy). What could be the sheer chances that my favorite director will be working on my favorite author’s book-to-movie adaptation? Could it be perhaps I have an eyeball for all things awesome? Granted — saying you’re an Aronofsky fan in 2010, isn’t really a visionary statement, but obviously I’ve been saying that for years. And as far as Max Barry… let’s just say I’ve been e-pen-pals with him since his first novel called ‘Syrup’ — which I read as freshman in college. When Max was in NYC for a book signing, my sister handed him her cell phone and we spoke, and of course he remembered yours truly. This was during the signing for his book, ‘Jennifer Government’ — which I had him sign, “Sip, Sippp, Sipppin’ on some Sizzurp! –Max Barry” Because a) his first novel was called Syrup and b) because I thought syrup was a funny drug before T.I. made it tragic. …But enough about Max.

Editor’s Note: Max Barry has once called me out by name as a “site defacer” on his blog, due to my absurd and irreverent comments that I often would leave on his blog-posts a/k/a he loves me.
