Real World DC Premier Party RECAP/RUNDOWN!

So, I headed over to a shitty ass bar in DC called BlackFinn …it’s a “chain” bar, so it’s nothing special. The dumb asshole bartenders were no help either, when people in the press area had no way to go to get a beer, without going into the server’s area (and getting bitched out for it). Dumb.

But who is the first person I see when I enter the bar? Yeppers, my EX-GF+at least 20LBS. The bitch gained weight, and my head was spinning trying to recognize her. Imagine if you used to date Eddie Murphy and you go to a bar several years later and you see Professor Klump! Your head will be effing SPINNNING! Trust me! Anyways, there’s the fight or flight response, and I reacted like this, I went and got my press credentials. Which is sort of an over-statement because it was a shit show. I’ll talk more about that later.

I ran into local reporter Angie Goff of WUSA9. She’s cool, but maybe a little too cool for school, because she was GHOST aka left within 2 minutes of me running into her. But she is BEAUTIFUL! Truly stunning. Anyways.

I then found a $20 Bill. Bonus!!! Paying gig.

I did my interview …teaser audio here… of the WUSA9 photographer interrupting and grinding my interview of Emily to a screeching HALT! Way to go, champ!

Back to the said “shit show”. Since OBVS BlackFinn NEVER holds events like this, they had no one controlling the designated press area. So, when press conference/interview time came around, there were 200 people all trying to do the same thing. And since I was “negative star struck”, I sort of let people do there thing, and then got my interview in… and I swear I’m not embellishing about that. That’s why I didn’t punch that photographer in the throat, that interrupted my interview. It’s not like I was interviewing the Pope. And the only reason I’d wanna interview the Pope is because he can take a good tackle.

And speaking of, HOLY CRAP, I cannot listen to other people conducting SHIT interviews, it drives me nuts. I am not even talking about the “outlet”, I am talking about the dumb questions. :) But, that’s just my own little complex. I think Mr. H. Stern is the only interviewer better than I! (No Toure).

It was retarded. And the funniest part of all is… so I hit up my people at MTV on the spot, and find out that this is obvs not an official MTV party, and MTV Press was not totally in the loop about this event, to put it lightly. Sigh.

So, here’s the quick rundown… shitty local website (unnamed, because I am not going to plug them), pays 4 cast members to appear at shitty bar, everyone including my ex who lives in Baltimore shows up, THAT’S EVERYONE, they invite a shedload of media, and the crowds are not reigned in. The audio of the actual show premier was inaudible, do I have to keep going?

But I will say this, Emily of RWDC was sweet. Angie Goff is sweet, and tweeted that she saw me. That made me feel good. Oh, and at the end of our interview, when I told Emily this is for shabooty.com, she lit up (you’ll see), because she obvs reads the blog. And we occasionally correspond, actually!
