Also an update: a statement from Tiger Woods posted on his website:

“This situation is my fault, and it’s obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I’m human and I’m not perfect,” Woods wrote. “I will certainly make sure this doesn’t happen again.”

He must have the top of the line PR firm working for him now. That’s why he’s been dodging police interviews. Probably what his publicist told him to do.
