New Moon Twilight Earns $140 Million at Box Office + and I vent…

(Entertainment Weekly) — “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” grossed an astounding $140.7 million at the box office this weekend, exploding most industry expectations en route to the biggest autumn opening weekend in history and the third biggest three-day debut ever, according to early estimates from Hollywood.com Box Office. (“The Dark Knight” still retains the record for the biggest weekend debut with $158.4 million, and “Spider-Man 3″ is second with $151.1 million.)

I will be totally honest as to why I hate New Moon and Twilight. There was this masseuse I went out on a date with once. She of course had me take her to the most expensive restaurant in Baltimore, called La Pazo, like a smart masseuse (huh?) would. She was a Twilight reading whore! But when it came to me, she wasn’t a whore. In fact, she told me I was too “kissy”. . . When she gets cervical cancer in the future, I hope her doctor tells her it was because she wasn’t kissy enough.

And I imagine New Moon won’t be the last of the parade of sequels, sigh.
