Kutiman’s Youtube FUNK: “Thru You – I’m New”

You know, as a pop-culture guru, it is horrifying to me to find out about something 8 months after the fact/after it has hit the interwebs. Well, I am late but I am colorfully IMPRESSED. Some dude named Kutiman has put out some sick youtube videos. He chopped up youtube videos of various ‘lay’ musicians, and pieced them back together into a magnificent piece of music and video. Sort of in the same vain as those Jay-Z+Beetles (The Grey Album) mash up records.

And don’t think this kid isn’t being noticed. These videos are actually listed under TIME Magazine’s “The 50 Best Inventions of 2009″. Damn. I didn’t know it was that serious.
