David Simon’s Wife, Laura Lippman Doesn’t Want To Hear Your ‘The Wire’ Bullshit

Now that The Wire has officially hit cult-status, it looks like David Simon’s wife, author Laura Lippman doesn’t want to hear about your fandom for her husband’s HBO show. I guess it’s gotten to the point where she had to write an FAQ on her homepage, telling us fans to ef- off when it came to writing her. I can’t blame her, though. If I was married to someone super successful, I’d hate to get a million questions about my spouse, as well. It would draw a wedge in between us. Sort of like on The Wire (SPOILERS – DO NOT READ IF YOU’RE STILL ON SEASON ONE or TWO)… like when D’Angelo got busted and got twenty years, then that asshole Stringer Bell had to go and cram his frigging babies momma. That shit wasn’t cool.

David Simon seems like a hard person to be married to… obvs as the creator of The Wire, he knows every surveillance method known to man. Good luck seeing your goomah.
