$328,835 FOR A PHOTO OP… AND NO TITTIE WAS SHOWN?

NEW YORK (CBS) ?A furious President Barack Obama ordered an internal review of Monday’s low-flying photo op over the Statue of Liberty.

CBS 2 HD has discovered the feds will have plenty to question.

Federal officials knew that sending two fighter jets and Air Force One to buzz ground zero and Lady Liberty might set off nightmarish fears of a 9/11 replay, but they still ordered the photo-op kept secret from the public.

In a memo obtained by CBS 2 HD the Federal Aviation Administration’s James Johnston said the agency was aware of “the possibility of public concern regarding DOD (Department of Defense) aircraft flying at low altitudes” in an around New York City. But they demanded total secrecy from the NYPD, the Secret Service, the FBI and even the mayor’s office and threatened federal sanctions if the secret got out. (via)

***Audio: SHABOOTY on the Greg Fitzsimmons Radio Show on Howard101 (SiriusXM Radio) 4-27-09***

Last night I was on the Greg Fitzsimmons radio show on Howard101 on Sirius Satellite radio. Okay, I called in. There was a lot of irony about my call. Well, actually let’s back up. It was the first time I called into a Sirius show and probably the 2nd or 3rd time I’ve ever called into a radio show EVER… PERIOD.

The thing is, yesterday I had my free piece of KFC promotional [grilled] chicken, and wanted to call in and talk about it. I had missed the starting of the show and until I went back and listened to it after the fact (today) – did the irony [of my topic] strike me. I basically called in blind (not knowing the general topics going on for that particular show).  The irony was that the show’s theme yesterday was apparently about stereotypes and I go in, shot out of a cannon wanting to talk about grubbing on chicken. Clipse’s fmr. Manager Busted in $10 Mil Drug Ring

Anthony “Geezy” Gonzalez, a man with ties to rap group the Clipse, has been charged with running a $10 million drug ring, according to The Virginia-Pilot.

Gonzalez is believed to be the mastermind behind an illegal operation, allegedly selling close to a ton of marijuana and 100 pounds of cocaine out of his recently closed Virginia Beach night club Encore Lounge for the last six years. Known for its violent atmosphere, the business folded after racking up close to 100 incidents of violence, shootings, drug dealing and disorderly conduct.

In the U.S. District Court’s 82-count indictment, it reads that Gonzalez purchased the club for 80 pounds of marijuana and $40,000 in alleged drug money.

In addition to the drug charges, Gonzalez is being accused of laundering money through his management company, Soul Providers, a company listed as the Clipse’ booking agent on their MySpace page. (via)

Adam Carolla to Star in Comedy Pilot ‘Ace In The Hole’ with co-star Pamela Adlon

“Californication’s” Pamela Adlon is going to give another marriage a try, this time on a Showtime sister network.

The actress will play the wife of Adam Carolla’s character for the CBS comedy pilot “Ace in the Hole,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The story centers on a family man and driving instructor (Carolla) who is married to a nurse (Adlon). They have two kids.

Adlon is known as Marcy, the wife of Charlie the agent (Evan Handler), on “Californication,” but will move to “Ace” if it’s picked up. She also won an Emmy for providing the voice of Bobby Hill on “King of the Hill.” (via)

Flying Dog (Chihuahua) Swept Away In 70 Mph Winds In Michigan Storm

WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A small dog from Michigan that was literally blown away from its owners during a fierce storm is safe and back at home.

The 5-pound Chihuahua was lifted up by winds during a Saturday storm.

Tinkerbelle was with her owners, Lavern and Dorothy Utley of Rochester, when a powerful storm swept into the Dixie Land Flea Market in Waterford.

The storm packed wind gusts of more 70 mph. One of the gusts lifted up Tinkerbelle and carried the dog away.

“They tried to catch her too but nobody could. The wind had her and she was just going on and her collar was found across the street,” said Dorothy Utley. “She flew and she went over three lanes into the woods.” (via)

Verizon in Talks for iPhone with Apple

The rumor mill is now in full swing. Following USA Today’s report yesterday that Verizon Wireless (NYSE: VZ) was in discussions with Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) to start distributing an iPhone as early as next year, now BusinessWeek is reporting that it may not be for the iPhone, but rather an “iPhone lite,” or a “media pad” that would let users listen to music, view photos and watch videos.

The first device is smaller and less expensive, but is considered a “calling device,” while the other one sounds like an enlarged iPod Touch, which could make calls over Wi-Fi. The sources tell BusinessWeek that a device could be launched as early as this summer. BusinessWeek reported that “the media pad category might go to Verizon,” according to a person who has seen the device. (via)
