Hipster Species’ Found In Greater Mekong

Scores of new species found in Greater Mekong.
Is it just me, or are these new species of insects and animals that scientists found in Greater Mekong, very hipster-esque?
For not having been touched by man-kind, and being newly discovered, they sure are hip on the latest fashions and colors! But all kidding aside, some of these animals are pretty ill-looking. For example, the above hot-pink, spiny dragon millipede, Desmoxytes purpurosea, has glands that produce cyanide to protect them from predators. Crazy. And while that striped rabbit isn’t some hipster chic (shek) purple or something, I could still see some hipster rocking out some faux-stripped rabbit fur, and drinking a PBR.

I dunno about you, but if you told me this guy was discovered wandering around the Mekong River in Cambodia, I’d believe you.
