WTF Ricki Lake is Thin

ricki lake

I guess someone finally drained that Lake of lard….whoops did I say that?

Apparently now she’s hollaring at John Mayer and is starring in a new movie called:
The Business of Being Born (in which she shows some nudity). It’s sort of weird though that the movie company behind the movie is “a netflix company,” who knows what that means in terms of quality. The trailer’s here. Anyways, more power to her –good luck though on her road to get back to her success levels of “The Ricki Lake Show”, in which she was earning 10million a year for 10 years.

Now Running for Miss America, Miss Utah 2007/2008=The DOD’s Sgt. Jill Stevens

jill stevens
I hadn’t heard of this so called G.I. Jill Stevens, and frankly who knew one existed…referring to G.I. Barbie (aka GI Jill), that is (esp. from Utah of all places). Then again, if there’s an OREO Barbie, there had to be a real life Army Barbie, right?
Anyways, she is putting away her military garb and boobs, err boots, for a run for Miss America 2008. The pageant will take place in Las Vegas on Jan. 26th. I wish her the best of luck!

Sheit, if she’s a fellow troop though, why do they need to send comedians and actors to Iraq for the USO Tour? Just parade her ass around!

Is it just me or does Steve-O look like Golem he does

steve-ogolem
Steve-O pictured getting high at the Gene Simmons (KISS) Roast in LA last week.

Comedian Craig Gass stopped by “The Howard Stern Show” on Monday and said that Steve-O was at this roast they did and he ended up peeing on the stage. He almost peed on Danny Bonaduce’s back at the event and Danny had no idea it was going on. If Danny had seen it, he probably would have kicked his ass. He ended up getting kicked out after that.
Howard said that they had the picture of Steve-O peeing behind Danny Bonaduce’s chair at the roast. He got a good laugh from that.

Good times… gotta love our man Steve-O.

Shabooty Interview Series: Hangar 18

hangar18
Hangar 18 is a hip-hop cliq out of NY on my favorite record label Def Jux. Hangar 18 is comprised of Alaska, paWL, and Windnbreeze. I am not good at 4-somes, so I nabbed Alaska for an interview. I’ve had their new album called: Sweep The Leg in my car’s cd-deck for the last month on repeat. And right now they’re on the final leg of their tour. Check them when they sweep into town! Huzzah!
P.s. I think when I was actually interviewing El-P on tour, H18 was in the house, backstage. I was having Jukie-overload (no homo).

Shabooty: Do you guys (H18) have differing “favorite tracks” on the album? Which one’s your fav?

Alaska: I think we all kinda revolve around the same tracks, I know wind and Paul really like ‘watchyoself’ and ‘really wide’ where I like ‘sad’ and ‘watchyoself’. So maybe its half and half.

Are you into the other music in the DJX extended family (referring mainly to some of the guys in cardboard city for example -if so which artists)?

I am. I think the other artists are making some of the best music out right now and are definitely making the best music of there careers. Aes’ new album is without question the best he has made. Hell’s Winter is probably the best written album of the past few years, ELs record is an overall masterpiece, and Rob’s is perhaps my favorite of the bunch. Everytime I hear new music from these guys I just want to scrap everything we have and start again.

Where did ya grow up?

I grew up about 45 minutes north of New York City in a town called Buchanan, NY. It is right outside of Peekskill, NY which is the home of Elton Brand, Pee-Wee Herman and were the school in the facts of life was supposed to be. It wasn’t.
Wind grew up in the Bronx in co-op city and Paul grew up in New Hampshire. He really likes foliage, maple syrup and saying park the car in a thick Bostony accent.

Why they call ya Alaska?

Because I used to go by Mr. T when I first started, I wanted a new name, and I was drunk and high and Alaska seemed like a good idea at the time. That’s pretty much the story. Not too exciting, but I have a story about a tattoo that is very similar.

What’s next for Hangar 18?

Besides world domination you mean? We finish this tour, take some time off. Wind is going to Argentina for a month with his girlfriend. After that we will probably hit the road again. We also want to start working on our next record soon. We don’t want to go 3 and a half years again. That’s never fun.

Will you be on any upcoming DJX album releases?

I would love to. I’m not sure which ones are next. Del’s album is finished and Cage is working on his, but if he wants us on it, we are there.

What’s your relationship with EL-P like?

We have a good relationship with EL. Our working relationship with him is inspiring, how could it not be, he is a genius when it comes to music. He has a real hands off approach and lets us own our vision for what we want on each record, but when we need guidance or assistance getting out of a block or moving to the next level, he is always there with advice and help. We also get drunk a lot, him and Wind actually sang Prince’s Beautiful Ones in a moment of drunken karaoke awesomeness at our album release party. It was as touching as it was creepy.

…What about the other crew at Def Jux?

We get along great with all of them. We have known Aes[op Rock], El-P, [Mr.] Lif, Rob [Sonic] and Camu [Tao] for years. They are all awesome guys. We didn’t really get to know Cage until we did the Paid Dues tour. He is cool as shit, I’m glad we got to be on a bus for 3 plus weeks and get to know him.

What about [your relationship] with “baking soda?”

It keeps my freezer fresh.
