Cage feature in Dec. SPIN Magazine

My homie CAGE aka Chris Palko is featured in the December 07 issue of SPIN magazine about the upcoming Cage biopic, being produced by none other than Shia “Indian Jones, he has his own category on this blog,” LaBeouf. Apparently due to the writers strike, it has put the project on hold for the time being. I guess it’s safe to say it’s still in pre-pre-production?
Either way I am looking forward for this flick to be made, I think it could be pretty ill. Seeing Shia play the role of Cage is going to be an interesting image departure for the former “Disney Channel” actor turned, “The Next Harrison Ford.” Either way it’d help his street cred. and help boost Cage’s visibility. I ain’t mad at that. Another reason to end the strike. Besides it’s not like the Strike stalled the taping of the Carson Daily Show, which would have been the only plus to the strike. I already offered Cage to bring the “stunt” shrooms to the set during principal photography. Good times. And check out MY interview with Cage last month.

One of the Super Mario Galaxy developers discusses some of the obstacles, inspirations, and behind the scenes in creating the latest Plumber masterpiece.

Excerpt:

A New Theme

So in 2005, a spec sheet was created for “Super Mario Revolutions”. Koizumi explained, “The concept was to play with Mario running around on spherical objects – something Miyamoto had come up with 5 years before, and something I came up with too. Why spherical worlds… What distinctive features attracted us to spherical worlds? Was it just because they were novel?”

He explained that no matter how large you make the playing field, if you walk long enough you will run into a wall, and that will make you turn around, which makes the camera turn around and runs the risk of making the player lost.

No matter how you look at it, Michael Wilbon needs to STFU.

McLean, Va.: Will your opinion of Taylor change if this does not turn out to be a random incident (e.g. home invasion)?

Michael Wilbon: No … people’s opinions are shaped by the way they’ve grown up, the way they see the world, what they know about the world the person in question grew up in, etc. Sean Taylor isn’t the only guy I know who fits his general profile. I’ve known guys like Taylor all my life, grew up with some. They still have shades of gray and shouldn’t be painted in black and white…I know how I feel about Taylor, and this latest news isn’t surprising in the least, not to me. Whether this incident is or isn’t random, Taylor grew up in a violent world, embraced it, claimed it, loved to run in it and refused to divorce himself from it. He ain’t the first and won’t be the last. We have no idea what happened, or if what we know now will be revised later. It’s sad, yes, but hardly surprising.

R.I.P. Sean Taylor #21

Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor died early Tuesday, a day after the Pro Bowl player was shot at home by what police say was an intruder. He was 24.

Homeboy was younger than me. Way too young to die, esp. like that. Rip 21.
