Dec. 30, 2004 — A blog — short for “web log” — is an online personal journal that covers topics ranging from daily life to technology to culture to the arts. Blogs have made such an impact this year that Merriam-Webster named it the word of the year.

“There’s a blog for every niche. There’s a blog for every interest,” said technology writer Xeni Jardin, who co-edits the blog boingboing.net.

Dylan Verdi, an 11-year-old known as the world’s youngest videoblogger, says she covers “things that I’ve seen that I like or that I’ve heard of, or just anything that happened to me that day that I’m thinking.”

There are millions of blogs on the Internet — a new one is created every seven-and-a-half seconds. More than 10,000 new additions are added to the “blogosphere” each day.

HAPPY EARLY NEW YEARS.

I wanted to touch up on a few things:

• I will be in Brooklyn for the next few days… good times.
• I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank my lovely girlfriend -she knows who she is. . . she is in a class of her own… a goddess among women.
• On a more somber note, as you know by now, the Tsunami has been devastating to everyone involved and shocking to those merely seeing the videos and reading the headlines –we can help: via UNICEF and the Red Cross. Pray for them.

MY DREAM LOG [DEC. 28, 2004]

i had a weird ass dream.. i was at kings dominion with snoop dogg…. and our whole crew consisted of cats like ray lewis… and we wuz walkin round and shit…. saw cats like 50cent and shit.. lol next thing I know I wake up drunk from passing out in a bar with two white guys… they are eating an anti-hangover pill with their drinks/ i’m, just drinking a plain drink.. the bar tender was billy bob thorton… lol and he was being a smart ass…. .us three guys. we stick him up for his bar money and he pulls out a gun.. but three guns on him vs his one gun he had to give up… then we roll out… he shoots a shot outside to a window as a stress signal ..but we get the money and dipp.. then all i remember is going to a indian restuarant… with some cats…. i was being a smart ass to the waiter and stuffs … =p

JA FOOL

Violence Follows Ja Rule To New York

A week after violence erupted at an after party that was to feature The Inc. rapper Ja Rule in Peoria, Illinois, more violence occurred last night in Ja’s hometown of New York, this time resulting in death.

Two men left the LQ club on Manhattan’s Eastside and opened fire on two men they argued with earlier in the evening, during a holiday celebration hosted by Ja Rule and Hot 97’s DJ Envy.

One man, 39, was shot in the torso and buttocks and was pronounced dead hours later at an area hospital. The second man, 36, was shot in the stomach and is in stable condition.

Police have not spoken to the second man due to his condition, but reports confirmed both men are from Queens.

No suspects have been apprehended and police are scanning footage from multiple cameras in the club that may have captured the altercation.

Witnesses described the gunman as a man in his 20’s, wearing a yellow coat as he fled the scene of the shooting.

Police recovered a handgun and multiple shell casings as well.

Good shit… I recommend it, esp. on a hot day. Now the problem is finding a place that sells it. (I found it at a mall, but it is at many amusement parks and such.)
