yo i had the wierdest dream.. me and my boys were outside some townhouses, watching the superbowl on one of those projection screens… well ne way, we look and theres a car there w/ it’s lights on ,..kinda idle’n ..so my one friend along w/ a couple others go by it and next thing i know they all 3 are inside it about to drive aaway (steal it) and im like yo thats shady so i just chill away from all of that well..they get in the car about to drive off and then a police swat truck comes out of nowhere and forces them to stop,ramming them etc… well they all get arrested and booked and shit and ne ways they get out a couple days later…. and then i wasnt trust worthy enough to ride w/ them in a car any more thinkin its prolly stolen so id keep sayin yo its all good ill meet up w/ yall ill drive my own shit

The University values its role as an institution that encourages civic engagement by all its members. As part of this role, I am writing to encourage all students who are eligible to do so to vote in the upcoming national elections on November 2. Because we have students from every state and territory of the nation, and because many among even our majority of Maryland students may find it inconvenient to return to their local polling places on election day, I want to remind all of you that absentee ballots are available to just about any university student who is legally entitled to vote. I encourage you to apply soon for an absentee ballot if you think that you may need one.

Some of you may not yet be registered to vote. In all but a few states registration is still possible by mail, although the deadline is getting close in some areas. For instructions and forms, if you need them, please look online at the last link on the Testudo home page http://www.testudo.umd.edu/, or go to http://www.fec.gov/votregis/vr.htm, to find a registration application mail-in form that is valid in almost any state.

Your opinion is important. Make it count.

Teacher sends feces home with 6-year-old

DALLAS — A teacher is on paid administrative leave after sending a first-grader home with feces in his backpack because the boy went to the bathroom on the classroom floor.

The teacher apparently was frustrated with the 6-year-old student’s actions so wrapped up the waste and sent it home with the boy Tuesday along with a note, Dallas school district spokesman Donald Claxton said.

Claxton declined to identify the teacher at Gabe P. Allen Elementary School.

"It generally appears the teacher was trying to help raise awareness with the family," Claxton said. "It’s just an unfortunate incident. Unfortunately, she took this course of action."
